James E. Strates Shows

The Strates Shows carnival is the last of the great carnivals that travel by train. The carnival travels more than 6,500 miles a season. The train is over a mile long and consists of 61 cars (50 flat cars, 10 sleeping cars, and a generator car). It takes the crew about 18 hours to load the train after each stop.
